A small locals’ bar, probably a bit rowdy on a weekend night, it was a lot busier in here than our last visit, but not exactly rammed. The Scotland footy may explain that. Probably a good bet if you want to avoid the tourists.
There’s a sign outside with some history of the place, but I didn’t get a legible photo. I’ll update this at a later date. The only thing I remember is that the Clan Gordon has (had?) something to do with the place.
I was expecting a keg-only affair in here, but was surprised to find Isle of Skye Red Cuillin and Harviestoun Natural Blonde on cask with 1 other tap that was off. On keg: Caledonia Best, Tennent’s Lager, Stella Artois, Guinness, Magners.
No record of how much our round was, sorry. It’s probably on the slightly cheaper side, say £3.30 or so.
Just crisps, nuts etc I think.
The TV was on, showing the Scotland game (which the barman from across the road kept popping over to check on). No music. Puggy.
No website, twitter or facebook it seems.
